ANIMALS IN THE CONIFEROUS FOREST
The Coniferous Forest is in the Northern part of North America and Eurasia to the edge of the Arctic Tundra. There are different species of animal and plant life. These are just some of the animals here.

It sports the largest antlers in the world, a moose can be more than six feet tall at the shoulder and weigh 1,800 pounds. They are so tall that they prefer to eat shrubs and tall grasses because grazing on the ground can be difficult. It can run at 35 miles per hour and swim at 10 miles per hour.
The Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep's diet involves plants and herbs like green grasses and other plants. The male are called rams and they are famous for their curled, large horns. They can charge at other bighorns at about 20 miles per hour. They have a thick, bony skull which prevents them from having too much damage to the head. The horns can weight 30 pounds!
The Siberian Tiger mostly eats deer, wild boar, and lynx. They are the world's largest cats. There is an estimated 400-500 Siberian tigers living in the wild. They are endangered. They weigh 660 pounds and are about 10 feet. Over the last hundred years, there has been 3,000 to 5,000 tiger number reduction.
